• PLAYOFFS: SEASON ENDS FOR STARS The Northumberland Stars have ended their 2016-17 season. A hard fought battle against the defending champion Tottenham Steam had the Stars drop the South Qualifier match 5-3. The Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League is a tough league to win games in.
  • TIGHT BATTLE WITH OSHAWA The Oshawa Riverkings were in town this week to take on the young, up-and-coming Northumberland Stars. It was a tight battle with the game going overtime. The Stars walked away with just one of a possible two points, losing in OT.
  • THREE GAME WIN STREAK TThe Northumberland Stars are riding a season high three game win streak heading up the GMHL's South Division standings. Wins over the Attack, Riverkings and now the Steam have the Stars streaking and are now a force to be reckoned with.
  • WASYLYK DOMINATES IN VICTORY Newcomer Evan Wasylyk put the Northumberland Stars on his back with an impressive 4 point evening in a 8-4 upset over the Toronto Attack. Despite struggling the first portion of the season, Northumberland has found their stride and is poised to do damage down the stretch.
  • STARS GOALIE NAMED TO ALL-STAR GAME Star goaltender from the Northumberland Stars Curtis Campbell has been named to the 2017 GMHL All-star game. The game takes place in Tillsonburg, Ontario hosted by the Hurricanes on January 17th. The format is Team Canada vs Team World.
  • STARS PREPARE TO HOST PREDATORS The Northumberland Stars are preparing for the Toronto Predators in two huge home matchups in the next two weeks. Northumberland will be looking for two wins and four points to begin their climb in the GMHL South Divisional standings.
  • DAVIES CONTINUES TO IMPRESS Matt Davies continues to impress on the 2016-17 edition of the Northumberland Stars. With 22 points in 21 games, including 7 goals and 15 assists, the second year forward has found his scoring touch.
