Northumberland, Ontario

The Northumberland Stars lost two close battles this past weekend. The first was a 6-5 loss against the Tillsonburg Hurricanes, followed by another defeat at the hands of the Toronto Predators.

Matt Davies and Tyler Brackin continue to be the driving force behind the offence. Davies leads the club in points with an impressive 13 points in 10 games. Brackin is right behind him, 10 points in 11 games.

Despite the recent slide in games, the Stars have shown many strong points in the lineup.

The goaltending has been stellar, the defencemen have been improving and the forwards have been finding the back of the net every game.

Northumberland will be hosting the South Division champion Kingsville Kings next week on home ice. It's only the second home game of the year for the Stars and should prove to be a good one. Puck drop is Monday, Oct. 24 at 7:30pm.
