Stars Sign KHL Draft Pick

The Northumberland Stars have made a huge signing between the pipes. Third round KHL draft selection Maxim Kuteinikov will be a big part of this year's club, manning the blue paint between the pipes.

The top level goaltending prospect is a dual citizen to Russia and Finland, spending time playing in both the Finish top junior league and then the Russian MHL major junior league.

At 6'3", the tall goaltender has a dominating net presence which was noticed by the pro level. In 2013, Maxim was picked in the KHL Entry draft in the 3rd round, #103 Overall.

Kuteinikov is predicted by many to a top goaltender in the league and instantly makes the Stars a contender for the Russell Cup.
