A WIN AND A LOSS OVER WEEKEND

The Northumberland Stars had a busy weekend, winning 1 and losing 1. The club also welcomed the addition of a Russian born defenceman who will have an immediate impact on the lineup.

First up was the Oshawa Riverkings on Saturday evening. The Stars put on a show for the home town crowd with a thrilling 5:2 victory.

The very next night the Northumberland squad represented in Toronto taking on the Predators. It was a 6:3 match with the Predators coming out on top, but was a strong showing for the team given the back to back nights.

Northumberland remains in talks as one of the surprises of the season given the positive rebound.

A three game home stand starts next Friday hosting the Tillsonburg Hurricanes at 7:30pm.
