The Northumberland Stars shocked the league this weekend. The Stars, who have been turning heads all season, elevated their game to the next level taking the Russell Cup favorite St. George Ravens to overtime.

The wild 8:7 OT affair had the Stars on the wrong end of the final score, but the impressive showing should not go unnoticed.

Tyler McGregor had one of the best individual performances that the Stars organization has ever seen. Tyler was the first star of the game with 4 goals, 1 assist in the tight game.  McGregor, in this game, cemented himself amongst one of the Star's top players and has been recognized across the league.

Right beside him was Robert James, who had 4 assists in the game. Finding the back of the net also included: Wasylyk, Lavigne and Davies.

The Stars will host the Oshawa Riverkings after a long thanksgiving break on October 13th. Stay tuned for more details on this home match, puckdrop is 7:30pm.
