Northumberland, Ontario
June 29, 2017

The Northumberland Stars continue to have a strong off-season, re-signing the likes of veterans Austin Trotter and Doug Andrews.

Austin Trotter has been a staple on the Stars blue line for two seasons, now entering his third. The three year junior veteran entered the league in 2014 with the Bradford Bulls. After a trade to Northumberland, the defenceman thrived. In 71 career games the Coburg, Ontario native Trotter has posted 18 points and 118 PIMs. Trotter plays big minute every night and will be a big piece of the leadership core again this season.

Alongside him on the blue line, 21 year old Doug Andrews will be on the roster this season. In 20 games last year the burly dman had 9 points. Doug is another local talent that is expected to play a bigger role this season for the Stars.

The Stars have already resigned another two players while adding another group of free agents.

Stay tuned for upcoming tryout dates and camps.
