Northumberland, Ontario
Sept 15, 2016

The Northumberland Stars are well underway into the 2016-17 season. Three games in the club has competed well,  picking up a point in a nail biting 3-2 OT loss to the Toronto Predators.

The story of this early season has been KHL drafted goaltender Maksim Kuteinikov. In all three games so far, Maxim has been a 1st or 2nd star, giving Northumberland a chance to win every game.

Against Toronto, Maksim had 49 saves. Finding the back of the net included newcomer Malik Henry and returning forward Tyler Brackin.

Still searching for the first victory of the season, the Stars will be in Niagara on Friday to take on the Whalers. Home games do not start until the middle of October at the Keeler Centre.
